CNN can't say Dick...unless it's Cheney
I love that CNN.com is perfectly OK writing sensational news stories with grisly details, but they repeatedly replace "Dick" with "Blank" in this one article about the Emmy-nominated SNL skit that they call "(Blank) in a Box."
On the positive side, they do follow up the (Blank) mention with some Britney-related Internet rumours. Phew. ;-)
If you do want to watch Dick (not Blank) in a Box, here is the link!

Well, it's a lot like George Carlin's "words you can't say on TV", where he points out that you can say "you're making a real ass of yourself", but you can't say "hey, let's go get some ass".

This is a fairly mild example of CNN but if you want a reason why John Stewart is the most trusted name in American Journalism... Among the real - not Comedy Channel - sources of television news in the states CNN is probably the best though, in reality it ranks up there with the National Equirer in terms of Journalistic Ethics and credibility. And then American Journalists wonder why people are turning to blogs

I saw that too. I work for a station that produces news for the Fox affiliate in town and I felt weird asking the girl who was running Master Control at the Fox station if they had performed it live. I finally reffered to it as the "Justin Timberlake" skit. I'm sure she knew what I meant. (I had heard a rumor they might perform live) -A

I wonder how CNN.com reported the time when Dick Cheney told Patrick Leahy to "go F@ck yourself!"

I think the CNN link is pointing to the wrong story (or CNN shuffled things around). Here's the right one: <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/09/10/tv.creativeartsemmys.ap/index.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/09/10/tv.creativeartsemmys.ap/index.html</a>

CNN reported on the Cheeney Leahy by saying "In response to Cheney, Leahy reminded Cheney that the vice president had once accused him of being a bad Catholic, to which Cheney replied either "f--- off" or "go f--- yourself."" http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/06/24/cheney.leahy/

i like blogs so much because Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art art blog, photographs photo blog, sketch blog, videos blog, music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting) and are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging which consists of blogs with very short posts. http://pharmacy-online.tk

If it was popular enough to be nominated for an Emmy, people probably know what is in that box. In fact, I bet they probably have their dicks in a box, they just didn't follow the rules too well, made the whole too big, put it in wrong and gave it to each other. Perhaps if they said Male Genitals, it would be more politically correct for them.
