Don't Download this Song! A Weird Al Special

I think this video is appropriate in light of recent news about a 30-year-old single mom getting fined $222,000 for "stealing" 24 songs ("the playlist of the century").

That little kid better watch it with that guitar. It looks like he might be trying to PLAY a copyrighted song! I bet he got it from one of those tab sites, that dirty little scoundrel. :)

I'm a long-time Weird Al fan but to be honest I prefer MC Lars' 'Download this Song'. It just... speaks to me :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zTPDVkVFOs

So Amber, have you found out yet why she was only taken to court for 24 out of the 1,700+ tracks that she had on her computer? or why it started out as 26 tracks but the RIAA dropped 2 of them? I bet Radiohead would be happy if someone paid them $9,250 per track for their new album. L&L

I feel sorry for that woman, even if it is illegal in the US. Record companies should take a page out of Radiohead's book. Great video. =)

I watched this sometime last year. A fellow animation student showed it to me. It's awesome. "How else could I afford another solid gold hum-v?" terrific... just terrific.. =)

Dancing sharks, awesome! Hey Amber, got to your site via the Tucows blog. Thanks for posting this. Personally, with the ease of buying DRM-free music through iTunes, there seems little reason for piracy. $200K sounds pretty harsh - yike.
