The Story of Stuff - Think b-4 you shop

This video has been out for a while, but I just heard about it a couple of weeks ago.  It's a long one, so grab a drink (tap water vs. bottled water ;-), learn and laugh.  Get the  full scoop here.

I grabbed an empty bottle and filled it up from the tap, hope that was OK? Great videos, and a nice easy to follow style.

Quite brilliant. This is how it should be done - Al Gore take note. Sincere he may be but IMHO he's the biggest hypocrite on the planet.

Cool; my local recycling awareness group (i'm treasurer, for all my sins) are showing this film in a local coffee shop sometime soon...so there's high awareness of it even here in west London, in the ole UK.

uh, what? oh, I just woke up, that's the perfect cure for insomnia. Great that they start out with an utter total complete lie that 50% of tax money goes to the military.

Thanx for this vid. Now I have more things to think of.

Jack, Your right that was a lie. Looks more like 67% spent on military spending. http://www.thebudgetgraph.com/site/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1&zenid=91633159f59e86a13578717e66aae1c3 The only thing is we need ideas on how to make that chain go in a circle. Videos like this are good to bring it to our attention, but ideas and elbow grease can change it. Not videos...or blog comments :-)

This is depressing. This is informative and entertaining and depressing. I want to own a copy of this on DVD or HD-DVD or Blu-ray. You know what, I'll get it on all 3 formats just to make sure that I can watch it on any of my players. Since I've been transferring all my VHS to DVD I have a lot more space in my library. And once I upgrade all my DVD to HD then I can watch them on my new HD widescreen TV because my old TV was embarrassing (720p is so 2 years ago) or I can download it to my ipod (the video one not the older ones... I really need to throw those out) I guess the only thing wrong with my plan to own a copy in every format is that I'll probably only watch it once more when I'm testing out my new home theater system but as long as I own multiple copies then I'm part of the solution. Gosh, I feel better already.

Like The Corporation and An Inconvenient Truth, this video does a wonderful job of showing us just what we (should) already know. It never ceases to amaze there is still such a need for groups like this to shove the obvious down our throats. Hopefully we hit a critical mass soon! Give your head a shake, peoples.
