Make your own timeline with Dipity

If you ever want to create a quick timeline of your "online" life, Dipity is an awesome tool that collects your data from Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, and many other sites and maps it all out on a slick timeline (with multiple views - see my sample below, took all of one minute).  If you don't have any online feeds, you can create your own timeline from scratch with photos and info.  Check out this timeline of the Iraq War. They've also just launched TimeTube, which is very cool!

Hi Amber, I listen to your show net@night almost every week. Are you a designer? If so I just wanted you to know I created a comprehensive iPhone PSD file that explodes the iPhone interface into a whole bunch of useful layers, including all the various interface elements. Obviously this comment is not relevant to this post, but I couldn't see any other way to message you, and I think this is something that could be useful to your readers. www.320480.com It's FREE. Juts thought maybe you'd want to see it. Sorry for the spam. Oh - nice site design! Don Charlton donecharlton@gmail.com

Very nifty amber. I just recently created a timeline for my resume with Bee Docs' Timeline and plopped it into a PDF. An online timeline though, that's pretty cool... It looks like Flash, but isn't... kinda like Google Stocks from a technical/UI standpoint. Interesting.

Just listened to your show last night and thought this company had a very interesting service. I think both you and Leo hit it right on the head -- it may not seem like much now, but the historical component is its main appeal. It's like a life journal. How great would it be to look back to see your own personal timeline that includes work, children, play etc... Very interesting .. thanks for the insight.
