Bingo, trivia, & tweets - Election night on CP24.com
I'll be the first to admit that I'm sometimes discouraged by the lack of true integration between TV broadcast news and the Internet (minus the efforts of CNN's Rick Sanchez, that guy is an online madman), but I'm extremely(!) excited about our plans at CP24 on Canada's election night (Tuesday, Oct. 14th - which is also my Mom's Bday, Happy Bday Mom!).
From 8pm-11pm EST, join me on CP24.com for live chat, trivia, Election Bingo, and more. Along with CP24.com's Seira Peesker, we'll be using CoverItLive to make the experience of chatting with us easy, fast, and fun (no sign-up process).
While you're watching the election results live on TV, toss your computer on your lap (yes, we all do it!) and let us know what you think of this year's election. We can also share YouTube videos, and any other links that you think we should check out. Here's all you need to know:

@Chris Hogg - we'll be doing coverage all night, but we can't talk results until after 10pm...so before that time, we'll be playing trivia, election Bingo, and talking about the election in a roundabout way ;).

Im Sorry, So you Canadians have a ban on talking about the Election until 10pm on the the day of the actually election? That's so weird and yet sound like something every other country in the world should do. Take note USA, with your 2 year long election campaign... Also, Amber, you and Leo should never worry about talking about some bit of politics on your podcasts, blog. With net neutrality and, online censorship, plus the way that politics seems to effect everything one way or another you can't really not talk about politics and still be up to date with what is happening online... When politicians mess up the economy, venture capitilise don't have the money to invest in online service, Eyespot has already gone off line, and MySpace is trying to re-invent them selfs to try and make money to keep online... Anyway Amber, hope you have a fun night doing your live coverage on CP24, I'll try and catch some of it. So hopefully I'll see you over there...PS. Hope your Skype works better for the Election coverage than it did for n@n. L&L

@SteveintheUK - There's a ban on talking about RESULTS. There is a ban until 1/2 hour after the polls close. My guess is that they don't want the media influencing people's vote. And BTW Amber, great job that night. I think everyone enjoyed it.

Hey Amber, You're doing election coverage after the publication ban is lifted right? What are you going to cover before the media ban is lifted? Cheers, Chris Hogg DigitalJournal.com
