About

To reach me, please email amber@mgimedia.ca.

I am a new media journalist and consultant.  Currently, I am the co-founder of web production house MGImedia.ca, New Media Specialist at Toronto TV station CP24, host of weekly video podcast commandN.tv, co-host with tech guru Leo Laporte of weekly audio podcast net@nite, and a regular contributor on CBC’s Spark.  I also work exclusively with The Lavin Agency as a keynote speaker on the subject of how to use Web 2.0 technologies to build community and customer loyalty.

Prior to what I do now, I worked as a TV journalist on a national news program for Citytv.  While at Citytv, I also hosted a current affairs TV program call Webnation, which was about how the Internet is changing the way we live, work, and play.  Prior to Citytv, I was a host for two years at G4TechTV Canada on Call for Help, Torrent, and Gadgets & Gizmos.  I have also worked as a Web strategist at Razorfish in San Francisco and Microsoft Canada in Toronto.  More resume info below.
