Meeting One of the People Behind Bitdefender 2019: Liviu Holban

This profile is part of a series I’m writing to highlight the people behind Bitdefender 2019, which is a 4-in-1 cybersecurity suite for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Each blog post will include one of their stories and how they work, live, and play to protect the world. Here’s part of Liviu’s interview…
“The common vision that we share inside the Bitdefender Parental Control team is that we don’t want to influence the parents-children relationship and turn it fragile. The parents need to talk to their children about the difficulties they encounter, they need to find solutions together through communication and setting rules together. What we want to do is give a helping hand to the family, give parents the information about their children’s behavior online, give them a starting point in their discussions and towards problem-solving… I feel this is a product that helps both sides to be safe in a world where cyberbullying and predators exist. Kids satisfy their normal curiosity through browsing and social platforms, but both expose you to cyber threats. For parents is hard to find out when their child is under a threat.”
